THE VISITOR AND COMPANION POLICY
- Patient visit hours are between 12:30 - 13:30 in the afternoon and 20:00 - 21:00 in the evening.
- Visitors under the age of 12 should not be brought to the hospital for their own health.
- Those who have complaints such as fever, cough, phlegm, those who are susceptible to infection and those with any chronic disease will not be accepted for visit.
- It is not allowed to visit patients who are considered inconvenient to be visited by the doctor.
- The duration of the visit should be kept as short as possible.
- There should not be more than 2 visitors at the same time for each patient
- The visitors should not sit on the patients’ beds.
- The visitors should not touch any place in chair side or in the hospital environment.
- Patient-related treatment materials such as bedside devices and bed control should not be touched or played with.
- No food and drink should be brought to the patient without the consent of the doctor.
- Any live or dry flower brought to the patient's visit should be kept in the corridor and removed as soon as possible because of the risk of infection and patient safety.
- Patient privacy should be respected.
- The visitors should not speak out loudly in patients’ rooms and clinical corridors.
- The visitors should not request to visit outside of visiting hours.
- The visitors should get information from the related doctors and nurses for the visiting rules in intensive care units.
COMPANION RULES
- During the hospitalization procedure, a “Companion Card” is given to the patient’s relative who will accompany him7her. It is obligatory to carry the Companion Card in a visible way.
- The number of companions is limited to one person.
- The clinic nurses should be informed about the companion changes.
- The companions should not take the patients out of hospital without permission.
- The companions should not give foods or beverages to patients without the permission of the doctor.
- The companions should not perform any practice towards the patients without the directive of the doctors and nurses.
- The companions should inform the nurses via nurse call system in case of any problem related to the patients.
- The companions should keep the materials and equipment of the hospital tidy and clean.
- The companions should not speak out loudly in patients’ rooms and clinical corridors.
- The televisions in the patient rooms should be used in a way so as not to disturb anyone else and should be turned off in doctor’s visit hours.
- The use of tobacco and alcohol in the hospital is strictly prohibited.
The companions are not allowed to intensive care units at all.
